00 Caliber M-24 · Automatic Chronometer
Precision, worn quietly.
Three hundred and eleven parts, machined and finished by hand. Scroll to lift it apart in three dimensions — and watch it settle back together.
01 The case
Sapphire, then steel.
A domed sapphire crystal — refractive index 1.76 — lifts off a rounded-octagon steel bezel, its satin faces held by eight exposed, polished screws. Real glass, real reflections.
02 The dial & hands
A face, in relief.
Faceted steel batons stand off a blue-to-black fumé sunburst dial ringed by a rail-track minute scale; the dauphine hands and blued-steel seconds draw off their pinions and hang in space.
03 The movement
Underneath, the plate.
The perlage-grained main plate carries the barrel and the gear train — brass wheels with real teeth, set with thirty-one rubies and blued screws.
04 The regulator
Four beats a second.
The escapement releases the train tooth by tooth; the balance oscillates 28,800 times an hour on its coiled hairspring. Here the seconds are made.
05 Reserve
Every part, in its place.
